Things that make you go mmm? Wacky adventures

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

I’ve recovered sufficiently from my weekend adventure to be able to chronicle it somewhat.

Saturday was a normal enough day. I went to North London and saw some relatives, including my grandma. I didn’t spend long to pick up the usual amount of negative energy emitted from that house. On the way home I stopped off at London Bridge for a few minutes in order to take some night-time pics from the area. I really need to get going with my photography course, I’ve got less than a month until my 1st assignment is due.

Anyway, Sunday was a quiet day until I met one of my former work colleagues for an online chat. We hadn’t seen each other for ages, and on the spur of the moment Oscar* asked me to met him at the nearby chippie for a face to face chat. Although I had other things to do that evening (i.e. washing my hair - yes really) I decided to play along and meet up with him.

He invited me to go to his nearby flat with him. We hung out there for a while, and he revealed that as his girlfriend was abroad for the moment he was filling up his time by browsing swinger sites and watching internet porn. I was not very surprised by this as I already knew that he was quite a sleazy geezer… Then he proceeded to whip off his clothes and treat me to a free peep show! I can’t go into details as children may read this but suffice it to say that I was shocked, appalled but also slightly bemused by the surrealness of the situation. Then he offered me a cup of tea before he walked me home…. You’ve gotta love British blokes!

*Name changed to protect the innocent (namely me).

Hilarious!!!! Walked you home (my personal choice would have been to run screaming from the scene) - nice touch and the cup of tea un-failingly British!

As written, that is so funny, although at the time it might not have been that humourous for you.

I especially love our stereotype of offering a cup of tea. Isn’t that just what we British are like?

“Here, Bert. Sit down and have a cup of tea. We’ll fetch your arm from the mangle later…”

    So very, very true.

Just… wow. I mean, was it even worth seeing? (In an academic sense, of course.)

Not really. Seen one, seen them all.
