Buggered Blogger
Monday, October 30th, 2006Blogger hasn’t been working properly for the past few days, so it’s taken more than a day for my Sunday posts to appear on the site. I’m thinking of moving to Wordpress or another blogging program, but I like the fact that Blogger is so popular, and that it links so many blogs together in one place. I’ve had quite a few visitors via the next blog button, so it’s definitely useful. As I’m using my own domain name and webspace, it wouldn’t be too tricky to set up a new blog, but I’m a lazy girl and can’t be arsed right now. However, if Blogger continues to act up I might have to take my business elsewhere (even though I’m not paying)…
It’s that time of the month. I feel restless and frustrated. I wanna hit something, I wanna stomp around and take it all out on some deserving person. Stay out of my way! (only kidding)
Wednesday is the start of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). It’s a wacky scheme which brings loads of people together online in the aim of writing a 50,000 word novel(la) during the month on November (average 1667 words/day). I had a go last year and got up to 15k, which was still an achievement for me. I’m not sure about doing it again this year, but there’s a great feeling of camaraderie in the forums so I might get involved somehow, even if I don’t aim to meet the target. The focus of NaNo is quantity over quality, so it’s okay to write a load of crap, which is quite freeing in some ways.
In the meantime I need to write a 3000+ word story by Wednesday night for my writing course, so I might not be able to start right away anyway.
