Easy like Sunday morning
Sunday, November 19th, 2006Top of the morning to you! The sun is shining, I’m feeling good and I don’t have to go anywhere today. I tend to veg out on Saturdays so I use Sundays as my most productive non-work day. I’ve got to do some housework and generally sort things out for next week when I finish here.
I’ve just finished a novel called The Thirteenth Tale by Diana Setterfield, I spent most of the week reading it in my lunchbreaks and in the bath… It’s her debut novel, and I definitely look forward to reading more from the author. It’s a gothic novel, featuring several secrets and mysteries, ghostly visions, and a dilapidated menacing beast of a house which becomes a character in its own right. It’s excellently multi-layered, and I’ll probably end up reading it again when I’ve devoured the ten remaining new books that are waiting for my attention. I would be proud to write a novel like it.
I haven’t written here for exactly a week. I had some problems with my web host, who were moving servers and neglected to warn me that I wouldn’t have access to my email and webspace for a day or two. I was also going through a tumult of emotions and wasn’t ready to express them here. I still need to sort my head out a bit. The same old questions keep on running through my head. I’m not moving forward, and it feels like I’m just treading water, keeping my head just above the waves.

Glad you are back - I miss hearing about the strange people you come into contact with, the animals that invade your space, and all the other stuff.
