Top of the morning to you! The sun is shining, I’m feeling good and I don’t have to go anywhere today. I tend to veg out on Saturdays so I use Sundays as my most productive non-work day. I’ve got to do some housework and generally sort things out for next week when I finish here.

I’ve just finished a novel called The Thirteenth Tale by Diana Setterfield, I spent most of the week reading it in my lunchbreaks and in the bath… It’s her debut novel, and I definitely look forward to reading more from the author. It’s a gothic novel, featuring several secrets and mysteries, ghostly visions, and a dilapidated menacing beast of a house which becomes a character in its own right. It’s excellently multi-layered, and I’ll probably end up reading it again when I’ve devoured the ten remaining new books that are waiting for my attention. I would be proud to write a novel like it.

I haven’t written here for exactly a week. I had some problems with my web host, who were moving servers and neglected to warn me that I wouldn’t have access to my email and webspace for a day or two. I was also going through a tumult of emotions and wasn’t ready to express them here. I still need to sort my head out a bit. The same old questions keep on running through my head. I’m not moving forward, and it feels like I’m just treading water, keeping my head just above the waves.
