Sunday, February 25th, 2007So it’s the 79th Academy Awards night. The bookies have stopped taking bets on Helen Mirren getting Best Actress. I haven’t seen any of the major nominated films yet. However, I’m going to see Notes on a Scandal, Apocalypto, and Perfume next month. I’m also planning to see Dreamgirls in the next few weeks too, so I’ll catch up.
I’d like to see Will Smith getting one for The Pursuit of Happyness/Forest Whittaker for Last King of Scotland, Djimon Hounsou for Blood Diamond (I’ve always liked him) and Jennifer Hudson for Dreamgirls (I support the underdog, cos I am one). It would be funny if Borat scored one for Writing (Adapted Screenplay).
