Spicy Author

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

So the former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell is going to be a children’s book author.

She was signed up by Macmillan Children’s Books after ringing up its Managing Director. (As you do.)

She has cited her literary influences as CS Lewis, Enid Blyton and Oscar Wilde, and started writing her novel about her protagonist, Ugenia Lavender, during her recent pregnancy.

Now that Ms Halliwell has retired from the world of pop she said that becoming an author has been “like a rebirth” for her.

She also said of her book that “There is a positive message in there, but it tastes like chocolate not cabbage.” (WTF!)

Let’s hope that she does well. I mean it.

Aww, man. I forgot “Ringing up the editor” as one of the perks you get when you’re a rock star…

Wonder how THAT one slipped my mind?

    *grin*

She used to be a page three model or something to do with her tits once upon a time.

Lol, yeah I remember when all the papers had those pics. At least now she’s probably using her mammaries for her child’s benefit instead of for a quick buck.
