Welcome back to the hottest Sunday night event around!
Saucy quote: “My girlfriend always laughs during sex –no matter what she’s reading.” Steve Jobs (Founder, Apple Computers)
Tonight’s theme is androgyny. As any woman who has lusted after David Bowie or Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean will know, there can be something sexy about a man who wears eyeliner. There can also be something hot about a girl who’s a bit of a guy. (Does anyone remember when Charlotte in SATC dressed up like a man for a photographer?)
Kate Moennig is the actress who plays the hot lesbian hairdresser Shane in the L Word. Moennig hasn’t confirmed her sexuality to the public, preferring to maintain her privacy. In the first episode of the L Word we witnessed Shane getting it on in the pool with a girl, which was definitely an indication of the highly sexual nature of the show. The character has developed during the series, from being a commitment phobic, to forming a deep relationship with the equally luscious Carmen. Moennig brings a masculine sexuality to the character, as well as a certain vulnerability, which is equally irresistable.
Comedian, actor, television personality, columnist and DJ Russell Brand first came to my attention on Big Brother’s Big Mouth a couple of years ago. Even after I stopped watching the actual BB show because I was bored of it, I still tuned in to hear Russell talking about his “dinkle’, his “ball-bags”, throwing in random intellectual thoughts and thrusting that skinny mike into people’s faces. He wears skinny jeans with a touch of eye-liner and suitably unkempt hair. He describes his look as being like a “S&M Willy Wonka”. His sexuality is ambiguous, he seems to flirt with anyone of either sex on the show. He’s a bit of a sex addict, is an ex-heroin addict and has shagged Kate Moss and various girls from the BB house.

I read an interview with Eddie Izzard recently in which he discussed his penchant for makeup and female clothes. He described it as being in a sort of ‘female’ mode, and could switch between that and ‘male mode’ with ease. That reminded me of myself about 10 years ago.
I wore men’s clothes and aftershave, not bothering with makeup and keeping my hair scraped back into a ponytail. If it wasn’t for the boobs, I’d have looked even more androgynous than I did. My sexuality wasn’t in question, and I was never a typical tomboy; I just enjoyed being in touch with my masculine side

I remember a girl at secondary school going through a phase like that, unfortunately she was mocked and feared by a lot of the other girls.

Lol, one man’s candy is another man’s cucumber, or something like that.
