Overdosing on sentiment
Sunday, June 29th, 2008I’ve nearly finished a double Mills and Boon book by Penny Jordan which I just started this evening after coming home from the cinema (I saw Wanted). I took a break to clear the junk off my bed and this song popped into my head. When I typed the title into youtube I found a live performance of the song on a moving bus, which is unbelievably cool.
I also love the fact that she’s strumming a tiny spanish/classical guitar, it’s just so perfect.

I am sooo glad that one of my country’s finer cultural exports could elevate your spirit! The whole bus idea is pretty cool and Feist is one of those rare talented and eclectic artists that can pull it off.
In terms of your recent discouragement around blogging (from a few posts ago), please do hang in there. Personally, I vacillate between euphoria over a well done post, to the utter depths of despair and the whole “why do I bother, what’s the point, who reads this anyways, blah blah blah”.
In my better moments I try to step back and look at is a simple exercise in self expression, putting my thoughts and ideas out into the universe, and I suppose if it connects even with even a few people I consider myself blessed. Anyways, I do hope you keep blogging, as you are an inspired soul and I think you have a lot to say, and I for one remain an avid reader!
